And it keeps getting larger every year! What started out with a couple of Lucy Depp homeowners talking about Christmas lights is now one of the must-see drive-through holiday light shows in Central Ohio.
A labor of love, it takes months to hang the lights and countless hours to program the show. Almost every tree, bush, and display is independently controlled–and most of them down to each light bulb (pixel). We custom mix the music and program the show ourselves, having to tell all 300,000+ channels what to do down to the millisecond. It’s quite a feat to make some lights blink, that much is for sure.

History of Lucy Depp Park
From the first African-American owned farm in Delaware County to a stop on the Underground Railroad to later a community for African-Americans, LDP has quite the history!
2025 Show Fun facts:
•The show covers 12 acres and 9 houses on a ½ mile loop
•There are over 400 trees wrapped with lights
•Everything is funded out of our own pockets – 100% of donations go to charity every year!
•There are 120,000+ pixels lights (more than 350k channels). We can control each and every bulb’s color and brightness in the show.
•There are over 200 hand built controllers and receivers that power and send data to the lights.
•There are over 100 devices linked via a neighborhood-wide network that control and monitor the show.
•We begin working on the show each August!

The Lucy Depp Park Light Show is a production of Lucy Depp Park Northside (LDPN). LDPN is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to promote, preserve and bring awareness to the history of the Lucy Depp Park neighborhood, as well as to raise funds for other local charities through neighborhood events like the annual light show.
